Why the D025 is built for finished cellars
The D025 is part of Wine Guardian’s Sentinel Series, the redesigned ducted line. Because the whole system is self-contained and ducted, the noise, heat and equipment stay out of the cellar while precise, steady cooling comes in through the ducts.
- Fully ducted, self-contained: evaporator and condenser share one enclosure, installed outside the cellar.
- Tool-light service: two-click fasteners remove the panels, duct collars, grille and humidifier for servicing in place.
- Stronger, better insulated: UL-rated composite door panels and duct collars, and double-wall duct collars that insulate 42% better.
- Quieter and more efficient: an all-aluminum chassis with more insulation throughout.
- Humidity ready: the optional integrated humidifier attaches to either side and runs on the same power and controller.

How the D025 is installed
The D025 is installed outside the wine cellar, typically in an adjacent room, mechanical room, attic or basement. Supply and return ducts carry conditioned air to and from the cellar, so all you see inside is the grilles.
- Contractor installation is recommended for the ductwork and electrical connection.
- Condenser air: the unit needs a space where it can draw in and exhaust condenser air. Inlet air up to 120°F (49°C) is supported; above 100°F (38°C) or below 40°F (5°C), add the Extreme Climate Protection bundle.
- No way to vent warm air? The water-cooled D025WC uses a water-cooled condensing coil instead, ideal for geothermal, cooling tower and lake water applications.
- Ducting: duct collars and 8-inch flexible ductwork are available as options.
Configure your D025
All Wine Temperatures bundle. Extends the control range to 45°F – 64°F (7°C – 18°C), ideal for cabinets and small wine rooms kept at serving temperature. Includes an integral electric heater to protect the cellar when the room around it drops below 50°F (10°C).
Extreme Climate Protection bundle. Adds a compressor crankcase heater for condenser inlet air below 40°F (5°C), plus a high-capacity condenser fan and coil for inlet air above 100°F (38°C), up to 120°F (49°C).
Ultimate bundle. Everything in the All Wine Temperatures and Extreme Climate Protection bundles.
Integrated humidifier. Attaches directly to the D025 and uses the same power source and remote controller to add humidity back into the cellar.
Freestanding humidifier. Installed inside the cellar and controlled by your existing Wine Guardian controller.
Remote interface controller and remote sensor. Monitor and adjust the cellar from outside the room.

Where does a ducted unit like the D025 go?
Outside the cellar. The D025 is a self-contained ducted system, so it is installed in an adjacent room, mechanical room, attic or basement, and ducts deliver cold air to the cellar. Inside the cellar you only see the supply and return grilles.
Can I install the D025 myself?
Contractor installation is recommended, because the system needs ductwork and an electrical connection. The D025 runs on 115V / 1 phase / 60 Hz power. Our team can talk your contractor through the requirements.
What if the space around the unit gets very hot or cold?
The standard D025 handles condenser inlet air up to 120°F (49°C). If that air drops below 40°F (5°C) or rises above 100°F (38°C), add the Extreme Climate Protection bundle. If warm condenser air can’t be vented at all, the water-cooled D025WC is the better fit.
Does the D025 control humidity?
Yes, with the optional humidifier. The integrated humidifier attaches directly to the D025 and runs on the same power source and remote controller. A freestanding humidifier is also available for inside the cellar.
Can the D025 keep wine at serving temperature?
Yes, with the All Wine Temperatures bundle, which extends the control range to 45°F – 64°F (7°C – 18°C) and adds a heater for rooms that get cold.
