Mounts to Nearly Any Wall

Every surface type has its own hardware path — guided instructions make it straightforward either way.

Drywall Mount
Mounts direct to drywall (min. ½" thickness) using Toggle Bolts and Vino Series Drywall Collars — required for every drywall installation to properly support the peg.
Wood or Stud Mount
For solid wood or plywood surfaces, Wood Lags drive directly into the stud — no collar required. Included Hex Key handles most installs; an M6 Driver is available for larger projects.
Extensions Sold Separately
Base pegs come single deep. Neck and base extension pieces — used to reach Double or Triple Deep configurations — are sold separately.
How It's Built

Minimalist Pegs, Maximum Freedom

The Vino Series breaks from linear racking with individual wine pegs that mount wherever you want them — label-forward with Vino Pins or cork-forward with Vino Rails. Each peg mounts independently, so you can compose your own layout instead of following a fixed grid, then scale up over time with extension pieces or additional pegs.

Common Questions

FAQs

What's the difference between Vino Pins and Vino Rails?
Vino Pins are label-forward — each bottle rests on an individual neck and base pin that keeps the label facing out, so your wall reads like a display. Vino Rails are cork-forward, with bottles resting cork-end out along a shared rail, which gives a more uniform, architectural look across a wide wall. As an authorized VintageView dealer, we typically recommend Pins when you want to see and identify individual bottles at a glance, and Rails when the goal is a clean, repeating visual pattern.
Do I need to hit a stud, or does drywall work on its own?
Vino pegs can mount to either drywall or solid wood/stud surfaces, but the hardware differs. Drywall installations require Vino Series Drywall Collars along with the included Toggle Bolts — this is required for every drywall mount, not optional. Wood or stud installations use the included Wood Lags and Hex Key instead, with no collar needed. Both surface types need a minimum thickness of ½", and free BILT 3D instructions walk you through either path step by step.
How sturdy is a Vino peg once it's installed?
Hardware ratings vary by wall type and anchor: the M6 Toggle Bolt and M6 Wood Lag are each rated up to 300 lbs, while the M6 Masonry Anchor is rated up to 200 lbs. The correct hardware for your wall type is included with every Vino Pins or Vino Rails order, and following the drywall collar requirement is what keeps the peg secure long-term. Regular tightness checks are recommended as part of normal maintenance.
Can I expand my Vino Series wall over time?
Yes — the Vino Series is built to scale from a single bottle up to 100+ bottles. You can go deeper on an existing peg using neck and base extension pieces (sold separately, up to three bottles deep on 750ml pegs), or simply add more pegs across the wall as your collection grows. For larger builds, the Vino Series Flex, Post, and Panel Custom systems offer additional ways to scale beyond a standard wall-mounted layout.
What's the difference between wall-mounted pegs and the Post or Panel Custom systems?
Vino Pins and Vino Rails mount directly to an existing wall — drywall or wood — using the hardware covered above. The Vino Series Post and Panel Custom systems instead create a freestanding, floor-to-ceiling wine wall independent of any wall behind it, which is ideal for room dividers, glass-front cellars, or the middle of a room. Post is a steel post-and-plate framework built on site, while Panel Custom is a pre-assembled steel-framed acrylic wall delivered ready to install. Talk to a specialist if you're planning a floating or freestanding layout, since these are custom-quoted builds.
