About the Tower Series

Kessick Tower Series.
Modular Wine Storage Built to Scale.

The Kessick Tower Series is a premium modular wine rack system designed to build stunning wine wall systems, wine storage cabinets, and full wine room installations using fully assembled hardwood components. Whether you're creating a compact freestanding wine cabinet or a large-scale custom wine wall, the Tower Series offers a streamlined, high-end alternative to traditional custom wine cellars.

Unlike fully custom builds, Kessick Tower Series wine racks are engineered from a standardized system of vertical wine rack columns, allowing you to design a modular wine cellar layout without the time, cost, or complexity of custom millwork. Every unit ships fully assembled and ready to install — one of the most efficient ways to achieve a luxury wine storage solution with faster lead times.

Ideal for homeowners, designers, and builders, this system supports a wide range of configurations — from label-forward wine display walls to high-capacity storage layouts — using a flexible combination of wine rack columns, cabinetry, and finishing components.

Each Tower ships fully assembled from Greenville, SC and is designed for installation by an advanced DIYer or experienced carpenter. Installation is similar to installing any assembled kitchen cabinet — included are base platforms and installation rails.

Kessick Tower Series installation diagram — base platform, base component, display row, upper cabinet, end panels, top plate and face cap assembly guide
General Installation Notes
Secure to Wall Studs
Set and secure all cabinet boxes together before attaching to the wall. Use the install-rails in the back of each cabinet box to secure to structural wall studs.
Level & Plumb First
After securing the Tower together as one unit, test for level and plumb and shim the back and/or bottom as needed before final wall attachment.
Pilot Holes & Screws
Pre-drill with a tapered pilot bit. Drive screws flush — do not over-drive. Hide screw heads with the supplied Fast-Cap covers for a clean finish.
LED Lighting Kit
If installing the optional LED lighting kit, drill wire chases and route wires before securing the display row. Install tape lighting behind the Display Row valance at this stage.
Clamp & Align
Use QuikGrip type clamps to flush up the sides and face of adjacent cabinet boxes. Align all sides and front before drilling pilot holes and driving any fasteners.
Who Should Install
Installation should be completed by an advanced DIYer or experienced carpenter. Contact Wine Cellar HQ before ordering — we can connect you with a qualified installer in your area.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything You Need to Know

Everything you need to know about the Kessick Tower Series wine rack system. Have a question not answered here? Our team at Wine Cellar HQ is happy to help — contact us directly or request a free design consultation to plan your ideal modular wine wall system, wine storage cabinet layout, or full wine room installation.

01

What is the Kessick Tower Series and how does it compare to a custom wine cellar?

The Kessick Tower Series is a modular wine rack system designed to create wine wall systems, wine storage cabinets, and complete wine rooms using fully assembled hardwood wine rack components.

Unlike a fully custom wine cellar, which requires design, engineering, and custom millwork, the Tower Series is built from a standardized catalog of wine rack columns and cabinetry components. This allows you to achieve a luxury wine storage solution with significantly reduced cost, faster timelines, and simplified installation.

All Kessick Tower Series wine racks and cabinets ship fully assembled, making them one of the most efficient ways to build a wine wall system without custom construction. If your project requires fully custom dimensions or highly specific layouts, a custom wine cellar may be more appropriate — however, for most homeowners, the Tower Series offers the ideal balance between design flexibility and installation efficiency.

02

Can you build a full wine wall or wine room using the Kessick Tower Series?

Yes — the Kessick Tower Series modular wine rack system is specifically designed to build everything from a single freestanding wine cabinet to a complete wine wall system or modular wine cellar design.

By combining multiple wine rack columns side by side, you can create built-in wine walls, full wine room installations, and scalable storage systems that grow with your collection. To achieve a seamless built-in appearance, Kessick offers moldings and trim kits, end panels and fillers, and top plates and toe kick systems.

Wine Cellar HQ also provides pre-configured Tower Vignette layouts, making it easier to implement proven wine wall system designs with confidence. Request a consultation and we'll help you plan the right layout for your space.

03

What materials, wood species, and finishes are available in the Kessick Tower Series?

The Kessick Tower Series wine racks and cabinets are crafted from premium hardwood materials and are available in three wood species: Walnut, White Oak, and Sapele Mahogany. Each system combines veneer panel cabinetry with solid hardwood wine rack components, delivering durability and a refined architectural look.

Finish options include Unfinished, Clear Satin, Walnut Stain, Espresso Stain, and Gray Stain across Walnut and White Oak. Sapele Mahogany substitutes Gray Stain for Spanish Mahogany Stain. For display-focused designs, Parallel Wine Hardware is available in Satin Black, Brushed Aluminum, and Gold metal finishes. Natural variation in wood grain and tone ensures every installation has a unique, high-end appearance.

04

What are the standard sizes for Kessick Tower Series wine racks and cabinets?

The Kessick Tower Series modular wine rack system uses standardized dimensions to enable fully assembled wine storage cabinets and faster project timelines. All Tower configurations share a depth of 11.75". Available heights are 77.25" and 88.5". Widths are 18", 28", and 42", with niche widths of 28" and 36".

These standardized dimensions make it straightforward to plan a modular wine wall system or wine storage layout while maintaining structural consistency and reducing costs compared to custom wine cellar builds. If your space requires non-standard dimensions, contact us to discuss a custom solution.

05

How long does it take to receive Kessick Tower Series wine racks and cabinets?

All Kessick Tower Series wine cabinets and modular wine rack systems are built to order in the United States at Kessick's facility in Greenville, SC. Typical lead time is 6–8 weeks after final payment.

Because these are fully assembled wine storage units, they can be delivered faster than most custom wine cellar projects. Shipping is handled via commercial freight, with residential liftgate delivery options available. Planning ahead ensures a smooth delivery and installation process.

06

Is professional installation required for the Kessick Tower Series?

The Kessick Tower Series wine rack system is designed for straightforward installation, comparable to installing assembled kitchen cabinetry. It can be completed by an advanced DIY homeowner or a contractor/carpenter. Each unit includes integrated install rails, structural mounting points, and base support platforms.

Recommended tools include a cordless drill/driver, pilot bit, QuikGrip clamps, dead-blow hammer, level, stud finder, and brad/pin nailer with air compressor. If an optional LED lighting kit is included, wire chases should be drilled and wiring routed before securing the Display Row in place.

07

What is the difference between label-forward wine racks and bulk wine storage in the Tower Series?

Parallel Wine Hardware is a label-forward wine rack system that displays bottles facing outward — ideal for wine wall display systems. Bottles are stored three deep per row using anodized aluminum bars with no visible fasteners. Optional LED lighting is available for a dramatic display effect.

Individual Column Ladders are solid wood storage components with dowel construction, radius bottle support edges, and rounded ends — all finished prior to assembly. This is a traditional, utilitarian storage style focused on bottle capacity. A third option, Rectangle Bins, provides bulk neck-out bottle storage and is available in limited sizes for wood case storage. This flexibility lets you balance display and capacity within the same modular system.

08
