Warranty Information

A limited 2-year parts and labor / 5-year compressor warranty

A limited 2-year/5-year compressor warranty is offered with all self-contained cooling units at their date of purchase (excluding the Phantom series).
A limited 2-year warranty is offered with all split systems. This warranty is not activated until the installation documentation has been returned by mail, fax, or email and approved by WhisperKOOL.

All warranty claims must be filed directly through WhisperKOOL customer service (1.800.343.9463). We provide warranty repairs at our manufacturing facility in Stockton, CA or, with prior permission from WhisperKool™, by a licensed HVAC/R technician. In the event a unit is not reparable in the field, and is still under warranty, we will cover shipping costs (excluding customs fees and duties).

The limited warranty applies only to wine cooling units purchased from the factory or an authorized dealer. Damage caused by others or beyond the control of WhisperKOOL, shall not be considered defects in material or workmanship and is not covered by the warranty. The limited warranty does not cover any parts or labor to correct any defect caused by negligence, commercial use, accident, maintenance, installation, service/repair, or improper use.

Replaced failed WhisperKool unit with a 2500 without problems

My 15-year-old WhisperKool failed with a buzz, a flipped circuit breaker, and a puff of acrid smoke. With help from Percy, I ordered a 2500 that was an exact replacement. In particular, it fit into the slot in the Vinoteque cabinet perfectly. The only fit problem was that the new unit has a right angle power plug that plugs into its side; I had to make room for it, since it hangs out further than the built-in power cord of the old unit. The new unit functions perfectly.

Unit works great, unhappy with communication

I ordered my replacement unit after my original stopped blowing cold air during the heat wave over Labor Day. The unit arrived fairly quickly but I had asked that I be alerted of its delivery date so I could schedule installation. As such, my overheated wine sat for 4 unnecessary days in order to get an installer scheduled.

Unable to reach desired temperature

I purchased a replacement unit for my wine cabinet. Unfortunately it is incapable of bringing the temperature to my desired level of 55 degrees.
